The mission of Wahama Jr./Sr. High school's counseling program is to provide a comprehensive guidance program that will assist all students in acquiring the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed to become effective students, responsible citizens, productive workers and lifelong learners.  The program addresses the personal/social, educational and career needs of all students.  The program's ultimate goal is for students to graduate with the competencies necessary to be able to make self-directed, realistic and responsible decisions and to be successful contributors to society.

What's Happening at Wahama

Some of our 7th grade students had the opportunity to participate in a STEM BOOTCAMP.  This was an event sponsored by the West Virginia GEAR UP grant in partnership with MAD-learn.  The students were able to participate in a live webinar and learn how to create their own app.  We had an amazing time and I am thrilled that our students received such an incredible opportunity.
